I can't thank Outward Hound, a company I'm sure you all have heard of and know well, for their generous donation to Stella's Dog Library. They did not just donate balls in all sizes but also frisbees, boomerangs and so much more! Because they have donated sooooo much I am going to be doing sporadic ball drops over the next couple of months. Sign up for our newsletter to find out when the next drop is.

LOCAL SUMMER HOURS (September 15 – May 15): Dogs are allowed all day.
Please note that the Sea Hear Now Festival is September 19th & 20th. They usually shut access to the beach for set up and take down a week in advance and the week following the festival.
STELLA'S BALL LIBRARY...
What started as a small handmade ball library, made in a friend's garage, chained below Stella's memorial bench in 2024 has turned into so much more. I thought having a ball library would be a good way to have Stella's name live on and help me heal but I had no idea it would mean so much to so many other people. I can’t thank all of you enough for the positive response I received to the library. I will never be able to explain how it has helped me heal from my loss…people stopping while I decorate her bench, the conversations had and all the kind words have been absolutely priceless, so thank you.
Sadly, I was informed on June 8th that all decorations and anything other than the plaques need to be removed from ALL memorial benches on the boardwalk. That included removing Stella's Ball Library from her bench. But, thanks to the community and word being spread, Stella’s Ball Library has a new and permanent location at the Deal Lake Drive entrance to dog beach in Asbury Park, NJ. Right off the boardwalk, you can take a ball, give a ball and have fun on the beach with your pup! Her memorial bench is still on the boardwalk to relax and enjoy the view.
Dog Beach Summer Hours (May 16 – September 14): Dogs are only permitted early in the morning and in the evening, from 6pm to 8:30am
I want to give Michael from North Eats a HUGE thank you for letting Stella's Ball Library have a temporary location at North Eats while we found and locked down a permanent location. This has been all about community so PLEASE support all of the local food vendors located at North Eats, 1607 Ocean Ave, Asbury Park, New Jersey.
